Vincent dePaul Lombardi
Vince was born in Rockville Centre, NY, raised in northern New Jersey, and attended Kansas State University. He was named after his extremely inventive grandfather, who had no connection to, nor any knowledge of, American football. The major portion of his career included printing, graphics, advertising and publishing. He is the former Associate Publisher of The Hearing Journal, an international trade publication for hearing healthcare providers. Following a daughter’s footsteps, he became a volunteer reader for Audio Journal in 1995. Vince’s involvement grew, leading to his appointment as the agency’s Director in 1999. He hosts a weekly jazz program on NPR affiliate WICN 90.5, audio describes at theatres and other venues in Worcester and Boston, is a corporator of the Worcester Art Museum and a member of ArtsWorcester. Emily Luz has been the Outreach and Development Coordinator at Audio Journal since May of 2011. Her tasks include grant writing, networking, fundraising, audio production and administrative assisting when needed. In her spare time, she is a professional visual and performing artist. Emily has been visually impaired since birth, but that does not stop her from learning all that she can about the radio reading service.
