A Radio Book Group
Speaking Volumes is Audio Journal’s book discussion program, bringing the enjoyable experience of a book group into listeners’ homes. Volunteers discuss the book in the studio, and listeners can call in with their comments and be part of the group.
Upcoming titles for discussion are: Dec 6th, Hands of My Father by Myron Uhlberg, Feb 7th, Beloved by Toni Morrison, March 7th, Ragtime by E. L. Doctorow and April 4th, The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins.
All books chosen are recorded by the Library of Congress on digital cartridge and are available through Perkins Braille and Talking Book Library and Worcester Talking Book Library. Books are chosen at least four months in advance to give time for listens to reserve their copies. The number to call to take part in the program is: 508-752-0557.
Speaking Volumes is broadcast each first Tuesday each month from 8-9 p.m.and archived on this website for one year.
